Colleges and Universities

  • Buffalo State University.  "Buffalo State is the largest four-year college in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, with more than 130 undergraduate and more than 40 graduate programs in the arts, sciences, and education.

Small, diverse classes are taught by dedicated faculty members."
  • University at Buffalo.  "The University at Buffalo was founded in 1846 as a private medical college and merged with the State University of New York system in 1962. Today UB is New York State's premier public center for graduate and professional education, as well as the state's largest and most comprehensive public university. A member of the prestigious Association of American Universities, the University at Buffalo stands in the first rank among the nation's research-intensive public universities.

Our strengths in medicine, engineering, and computer science enable us to conduct multidisciplinary research and provide education at a level of excellence that few universities can match. The faculty of UB's professional schools share an unusually strong research orientation with their counterparts in the arts and sciences, and together they have established an outstanding record of research, scholarship, and creative activity."

  • St. Joseph School University Heights.  "St. Joseph Elementary School is the oldest, continually operational Catholic elementary school in the City of Buffalo. St. Joseph School opened its doors in 1849 as a German school. At its inception it occupied a wooden frame house. The Sisters of St. Joseph began teaching at the school in 1882, and have continued to serve our students since that time. Currently, three members of the faculty are Sisters from the religious community, as is our principal, Sr. Genevieve Efthemis."
  • St. Martin of Tours School.  "Our goal is to prepare students who excel in life, through discipline, self confidence and a belief in self worth and dignity of others. We provide a strong Catholic environment in which Catholic and non-Catholics can grow; a preferred source of learning by guaranteeing a well balanced education."
  • St. Rose of Lima.  "At St. Rose of Lima School you and your child will encounter values that can last a lifetime. We work with parents to help our students acquire the knowledge and self confidence they need to be interested and involved in the world around them. They are encouraged to set their sights on desirable, long-range lifestyle and career goals by a curriculum and learning environment that are always challenging.
Participation keeps St. Rose strong. An elected student government gives students a voice in defining their own educational environment, while our community-based, independently elected School Board, permits parents to have a genuine say in the growth and education of their child."
  • St. Stanislaus School.  " St. Stanislaus School has been a proud Educational Institute since 1874. It has had many prominent graduates over its 130 years of serving our community. It is our intention to carry on the tradition of quality catholic education."
